MSD 8222 Ignition Coil

I purchased this to replace an msd 8202 that was in my 83 Toyota for over 20 yrs. The car had been in the shop with an unknowledgeable shop for air conditioning compressor replacement, and fuses and relays were damaged. Starting issues arose; and , the MSD 8202 coil had been singled out as being a possible failure point since I did not have that coil installed vertically. The 8222 is designed to be installed in any position, i.e. horizontal, vertical, or anywhere in between. I''m happy I installed this coil. It was almost a direct replacement, except for the fact that I had to eliminate some thin lock washers from each coil terminal (from 8202 install) to allow the included terminal nuts to get a good bite on the 8222 terminal threads. The 8202 had about 1/16 inch longer threaded terminals to accommodate the MSD wiring and adapters needed to use its computer with my '83 Celica GTS. Good price for the coil. Shipped extremely fast.
