Works well with the L390

You need this adapter to be able to plug an Ethernet cable with RJ45 connector into a laptop with Lenovo's matching proprietary mini-Ethernet connector. Wired Ethernet remains very important, especially for video telephony and gaming, because it is much more reliable and has much lower latency than WiFi. This adapter worked fine and without problems in the L390 laptop for which I bought it. The only suggestion for improvement I have is that this adapter should be listed explicitly on the support website as an accessory for all the laptops for which it fits. This is because Lenovo also sell a second, similar Ethernet adapter, and it was not completely obvious which adapter fits which laptop. I was lucky to have ordered the correct one for our L390, but that required a very careful look at the photo of the mini connector.

Not as obvious as you may think...

It is plug&play product, very simple :-) However, pay attention to size of the socket there is in your laptop. This adapter comes in two sizes and this fact is not really exposed on the website. Fortunately, the shop returned all money, very kind option. The second thing about this cable is size of the plug on computer side. In my ThinkPad X390, there is no room for LAN and power plug. They are so close to each other, that I had to use sand paper to flatten neighboring sides of the plugs, so they can be fitted together in their sockets.
