The Budget 8 That COULD!

I got these little subs after one of 4 of my Sundown after 3 years of almost double the RMS burned a lead, These Lanzars for the price are hard to beat. At first the Lanzars seems a bit tight and punchy but after some break in time and tuning they kept right up with the e8 as far as sound quality goes, They do not take as much power as the e8 but still sound good. I currently have 4 of these running in a 2.5cf tuned to 35hz ported enclosure, All though Lanzar states that these are meant and designed for small sealed boxes they take well to being vented. I am running a Memphis 16- ST1000d to the 4 and they take it like champs! In closing for a driver in the 30-40 dollar range you cannot go wrong these keep right up with the more expensive 8" subs, To me these are one of those hidden little gems for the guy who doesn't have a lot of money or wants to spend a ton on subwoofers. I wouldnt run these as midbass unless you have a lot of room cause these suckers are deep! My only real complaint is that these do not have a foam seal gasket on the back of the basket to keep air from sneaking out around the mounting hole.
