Land O Lakes Yellow Deli American Cheese Product, Deli Sliced to Order

Walmart needs to find a way to offer the possibility of having your meat and cheese's sliced at the customers' choice of thickness. My cheese today was so thick one piece will make a grilled cheese sandwich. I personally would like my cheese sliced thinner.

The american cheese sliced in the Deli, was dated the day before and had been put in the cooler for people and/or gro pickers to grab for convenience. When I place a grocery order, and order anything from the Deli, I expect it to be sliced FRESH for my order. Thats the whole purpose, why would we pay more from a Deli? I need it to last as long as possible. Not be a day or 2 old when I get it, or in the shape it was in, this time. (But not the only time). So, more often than not, Ive been getting at least day old cheese or meat, pre-sliced from the cooler that gets handled by other customers, or the grocery pickers ect., while they are looking for what they want. This time it also was completely broken into pieces, and looked like the end of the loaf, and was all stuck together , so you couldnt peel a partial slice off without it breaking again. No tissues ever between slices. It was worthless to put on a sandwich. They also gave me a 3/4 lb pkg, when I ordered 1/2 lb. Maybe it was the last one? I was thankful I wasnt serving it to company. Ive also been receiving sliced turkey or ham from the coolers next to the Deli, not dated the same day as my pick-up date. We also cant choose the thickness of meat and cheese online anymore. I believe I remember a time that option was available. So we cant order shaved or thick sliced ham, ect. I might as well quit buying from the Deli and go back to buying pre-packaged, its alot cheaper. Im also considering not shopping for fresh meats and cheeses at Walmart if we cant depend on getting a fresh Deli product, just becuz we order groceries for delivery or pick up. Ya'll used to care what you provided/chose for us. Im handicapped and almost never shop in stores. I depend on them to make good choices for me. And I dont necessarily blame the pickers if they are told to pick it from the presliced cooler area. Thats Management. But I'll check into that, so I'll know their policy. I hope it gets better soon, as Ive shopped online with only Walmart now since they started the delivery/pickup services here at Webb City, Mo. Overall, they do a great job with other groceries or things from other departments, and I appreciate how hard the shoppers work to get our orders for us. I do hope the General Mgr sees this, maybe it will help others. 😊☮️
