best store bought corn tortilla

The corn tortillas are the best store bought tortillas. They are the perfect combination of taste thickness, texture and strength. These corn tortillas I leave in the crisper drawer of my fridge and pull them out when I need them. I heat them in a pan and I love that these will puff up like a flour tortilla and brown just slightly. I have not found another store bought corn tortilla that does that. These are hard but once you heat them up they are softer but they don't fall apart when you fill them. I like the corn texture and the taste and the thickness to hold up even to be overstuffed. These are great! ALways a stable in my fridge.

*** You need to heat the tortilla in a skillet. Both sides. *** So many comments about them being delicate and falling apart so I am going to take a guess that this is due to user error. (Heating them up in the microwave will produce steam and make them soft, however, it can cause them to tear if too soft so skillet is best unless you want to roll them). Anyway, these are the only ones I like to buy from reg stores. They do not have a weird flavor like other brands and although they are not "home made", they work well!

These tortillas are good, but they need to have smaller quantities, there's only two of us and we don't use a lot of these, so by the time we come around to use them again the remaining 24 tortillas are stale. we have tried freezing them, but they don't freeze well, breaking up easily.when they are thawed.
