I was weary of purchasing a his microwave because of the one star reviews I saw. I was really drawn in by the size, the sleek look, and the “easy to clean” selling point. I have NOT experienced any of the issues that have been mentioned in any of the bad reviews! I upgraded from the mainstays 0.7 cu ft 700 watt and let me tell you this is 1000x better. Unlike some of the other reviews, I actually like the touchscreen time dial. Some people may just be out of touch with technology, so let me explain the great things about the touch screen: you do not have to keep tapping, you can simply hold your finger on the plus button and it will quickly go up for those longer cook times. Also, once you get past about 2 minutes, it stops doing 10 second increments and jumps to 30. This is very modern and “fancy” to me and frankly I find it easier than having to use time cook settings or express cook on other microwaves. I will be honest, in my household we do not use the microwave for any of the pre-set buttons (I have never with any microwave) so I cannot give a review for those buttons on the inside of the door. I mainly use my microwave for frozen meals or just simply heating up leftovers. I like how evenly this microwave heats the food, my last microwave would have half the food scorching and the other half still cold to the touch. THIS MICROWAVE IS HUGE! I saw that someone said this thing is only a medium sized one, well to me it's pretty big because I'm upgrading from a 0.7 cu ft. This microwave is not loud at all, the only noticeable thing is the air that comes from underneath. I also think that the chime that plays once the food finishes is very cute and way better than the typical loud beeping of traditional microwaves.
All in all, this is a sleek and modern microwave. It looks very nice on my countertop and it runs beautifully. The microwave is very large on the inside, I feel like you could fit anything in it. The touchscreen is a very modern and “fancy” feeling touch and I enjoy not have to push down hard on any buttons. Also, the easy clean interior is wonderful. I used to dread cleaning my old microwaves because it seemed like there was always all these nook and crannies filled with gunk to be cleaned out. With this microwave, it's very easy to just get in there and wipe instead of trying to work around many vents. This is an expensive microwave (for my family, at least) and I feel like the quality matches the price and it seems like LG put a lot of thought into what the user would find most convenient. If anything were to go wrong a few months down the road (like 2 or 3 other reviews reported) I will update this review.
