This bit of kit packs a serious punch, transforming my living room into a genuine home cinema. The sound is absolutely fantastic, completely enveloping you with crystal-clear dialogue, rich details, and heart-thumping bass. Explosions feel real, helicopters whizz overhead, and whispers sound right next to your ear – it's blooming brilliant! Setting everything up was a breeze. No tangled wires with the wireless surround speakers, and the app made controlling the sound a doddle. Whether you're watching the latest blockbuster, belting out tunes, or battling away on games, the LG S95QR adapts with ease thanks to its clever sound modes. Sure, there were a couple of times the dialogue wasn't quite as crisp, and the bass can be a bit much at times, but a quick tweak in the settings sorted that right out. All in all, the LG S95QR is an absolute game-changer for anyone wanting to experience their favourite films, music, and games in a whole new way.

I recently upgrade the family living room TV to a 65 inch, which had really quite acceptable sound for a "no soundbar" setup. Having the opportunity to test out the LG flagship model was of great interest to me since I already own a full Atmos setup in another room of my house, so I already knew what good should sound like. The LG was a piece of cake to set up. You basically plug everything in and turn it on. A handy app for your smartphone lets you set everything up, as well as calibrate each speaker by using the microphone on your phone from your seating position. Initially I placed each speaker on a spare surface and it filled the room with sound immediately but it wasn't quite to my liking yet. I went online and bought some speaker stands for just under 40 pounds which let me put the rear surround speakers exactly where they should be for the best sound. Then I went back on the phone app and re-calibrated to get the levels perfect. BIG DIFFERENCE! The soundbar turns itself off and on when the TV is in use and everything just sounds so much meatier and clearer now. The room is filled with warm engaging sound making the kids YouTube videos sound great. If I switch to my streaming applications on the TV you get the full and proper Atmos soundtracks working all the speakers as they are designed to, and I can honestly say they are just as good as the system in my other room that cost nearly twice the price. Sports also sound great with the sound modes filling the room with the stadium sounds and crowds, with the main soundbar taking centre stage for the action. With soundbars like these, you really cannot go back once you've got them set up properly and get to experience them. Regular TV speakers as good as they are just feel lifeless when compared to something on this level, and LG have a winner on their hands with this one. Getting these positioned properly on stands makes all the difference here. Pretty good before I got the stands but afterwards it's a really big step up. Recommended!
