Pretty good AC unit. Idk if it's normal that the compressor does a hard thunk when it kicks on and off. We are cooling down an 830sq ft bedroom, the AC is in the wall. Our last AC we believe was 10,000 btu. Was much quieter. Also the AC looks like it does on the web site. The vent needs to be broken in very stiff.. Over all it IS a good AC
