Nice birds that now sit on a shelf in the corner of my room. I never put the hearts in place as I like them as "normal" birds. Opening the box was a surprise, no cardboard wasted, and even better, the size of the box and the number of bricks (and the brick size) match my expectations. No big boxes that could be smaller. All Lego sets should be packed this way. But enough about the packaging. The build is fun. Just to make it a bit more fun I dumped out all the bags at the same time. The only downside here is the progress bar at the bottom of the instruction books. Maybe I am getting too old, but it really annoyed me. Building instructions are one of those things that shouldn't need one. The build itself shows progress. I understand having it on digital instructions so you can easily navigate, but as that doesn't work the same way on paper (unless Lego releases rolodex-like instructions :)).
