Genius design for perfect play experience

There was a complaint that the x-wing model is too simple. Compared to other models in the micro-fighter series or more expensive ones it may well be. But the key thing to bear in mind is that this model is for 4+ years old and it was designed to be built in simple blocks. This also means that my 6 year old can tear it apart as a result of a crash or a dog fight battle with other fighters (which we all know is part of the fun) and put it back together on his own in 30 seconds. It is the perfect compromise between good looks and play experience. R2D2 is also a hit.

A must buy!

I own every X-wing ever released. This so far is the most accurate to the original trilogy besides the UCS ones. I moved the lever for the wings to the bottom between the landing gear and it works exactly the same. I was then able to add greebling detail to the top area in the empty space. I changed the small laser cannons to the previous model from 2012. I changed the tan lever handle to a dark grey one. I changed the buckets on the engine with wheel rims. Love this model now!

Elegant

I've been anticipating the release of this set for months, and the wait was worth it. It looks very smooth and accurate to the real one. The functionality is smooth and the quick release lever underneath is a nice addition but doesn't look that great. It's easy to remove if you want though. The price seems really high but in comparison to other sets it's really not that outrageous. Overall a great buy.
