6yr old LOVES this lego set

My son wanted legos because all of his friends were playing with legos. He has a few small sets, but didn't seem to interested in the legos after the space ship or cruiser was built. But this set has held his attention! It is a small cantina with 8 people, an animal, and a small space ship. He loves playing out scenes with this set. And, the set folds up after he is finished (the ship and animal does not fit into the set when it is folded). I definitely recommend this lego set for kids who like "playing" with legos instead of "simply building" with the sets.

Great playset for kids and Star Wars fans

For gen-xers that grew up on Star Wars, and now have kids of their own, this is one of those toys that bridges generations. This is a great playset for kids, with a fun overall build that contains enough mini-figures, and interactive set pieces to make this diorama well worth the money. I have a young boy that really likes Star Wars, and will play with these lego sets for hours. Overall, the Cantina is high on the list for both him and I. I enjoyed helping him build it (he's only 4 going on 5), and it wasn't a very tough or complex build. Most kids will be able to pull this one together without much of a problem. The set itself is very nice. While many might harp that it doesn't contain enough mini figures, I think otherwise. I think all the key players are here. The only one i'd say is missing is chewbacca, but he's in quite a few other sets. The set itself is great. After your kids are done playing with this set, it can fold up into a solid square shaped unit, which helps keep it compact to save space when it's not being played with. The lego engineers did a great job with this one. It's by far one of the best ones out there. The landspeeder that comes with the set is also a very easy and nice looking vehicle, that resembles the vehicle in the film. The dewback with a stormtrooper is itself also a nice touch and a great feature. I give this set a full on 5 stars.
