Childhood in a box

Absolutely worth the buy. The characters and level are 100% authentic to the level. Yes the 1x1 studs are repetitive but it adds to the look. I can only hope they bring out expansions such as labyrinth, final zone or even sonic 2, 3 and knuckles based sets!

Brilliant set for either Sonic or Lego fan

Definitely has to have been my most anticipated LEGO set in recent memory, and it completely delivered. So nice to see a set based on sonic the hedgehog after the great character pack for LEGO Dimensions in 2016.. The Sonic minifig has received a nice upgrade with better colours, added side detail on the legs, along with other changes to the printing which bring the look of the character closer to his 90's counterpart. Also featuring great building techniques for the brick-built characters with great detail while still keeping at minifig scale.. Green Hill Zone was captured perfectly in this build, with good use of prints on the grass tiles and stickers for the iconic loop.. also with a fun play feature with a working spring to send sonic flying sky-high. Along with the added ability to mix and match the order of the level with modular pieces, it's top-notch. The technic pins at the end allowing for the level to be extended with purchasing another set is a novel idea, and I hope it also may be the lead for more sets in a Sonic the Hedgehog theme.

Love sonic, love Lego!

I absolutely love this set! It was so fun to build, although slightly annoying and fiddly with all of the single tile stacks! But it looks soooo good!
