I bought this for my 7 year old who likes animals and building things. This was her first lego set she could do by herself and she loved it. The details are so great about lego. The quality in the colors and the fit the of the build is what makes the difference. She was able to follow along with the directions easily. Lego pricing is always more, but again, I think it is worth it to get a quality product that my kid can put together by herself and have fun doing it.
