LEGO Friends Holiday Ski Slope and Café 41756 Building Toy Set, Creative Fun for Ages 9+ with 3 Mini-Dolls and Lots of Accessories, A Gift for Kids Who Love Snow Sports or Role playing

I bought this set to build and then modify on my YouTube channel as I am a big fan of the winter village range. Before changing it to fit my village I built the set as per the instructions. I really enjoyed putting it together from the seven numbered bags. The steps are varied and there are a few surprises thrown in. The spiral staircase at the side is a great design. An experienced builder will complete the set in around 3.5 hours which could be split nicely over a couple of evenings. Pros: 1. Most of your money spent on this set goes into the building, scenery and accessories rather than minidoll figures - there's only three. 2. The end result is satisfying (if not a little bright) to look at, there are some play features and the slope for skiing is excellent. 3. There is a lot of Lego that goes into this build and it feels solid and heavy when moved. Cons: 1. I took one look at the stickers and decided against it. They are rather fiddly and I'm not sure many of them will enhance the build much. 2. Bright colours in places (crucially not everywhere) and I think these will appeal more to children. 3. The window and doors are made of clear transparent plastic. Sadly they are prone to scratches in the box and a couple of mine had significant marks (surely Lego can put a small piece of paper around each of these to protect them?). Overall view: this a large and imposing winter set that is fun to build and it has a great design. I enjoyed building it from the box - see picture. Good to see a new style of tree and this was very enjoyable to build. I toned down the colours slightly and set it up so that the Friends chairlift from 41324 could stand behind it for access to the slope.
