This is the best train for a four year old.

I have purchased lots of duplo train sets. This is the best one. My grandson has had lots of fun with it. The other day we had his friend over and both wanted the battery powered engine. Needless to say I wish I had bought two of them. The non-battery powered ones are probably better the younger they are but he is 4 now and loves to send it all over the house building tracks around the furniture. The duplo tracks are excellent in helping a child engineer different projects.

Perfect for my 3 year old grandson

This was a Christmas gift that my grandson could not get enough of! The train sets oval track is easy to put together and the train itself provides great train sounds while circling the track. Even filling up the train with gas makes a fun noise that my grandson loved! This train set holds up to its name as it is perfect for a first train set.
