Natures Way probiotics are all excellent because they have the sodium alginate coating on the capsules which enables the bacteria to get where digestion is going on. Probiotics must get past the stomach alive or they die there. I not only feel better on these high potency formulas, I have placed these capsules in cups of strait vinegar (pH aprox 2.5 acidic) overnight just to see if they were in tact and they were. I then gave them about the amount of friction they might have in the tummy with other foods fibers by scraping gently with a fork (after the soakings) and they opened up nicely - not to quickly but with about 5 light scraps from a fork.
