I assembled four of these stars and i still couldn't tell you how to do it, I just kept at it and the pieces clicked into place. Once assembled they are beautiful. They survived wind, rain and snow with no issues. They are bright and easy to hang. The six hour on 18 hour off timer works great - set them and forget them. I love these!

oooh -so pretty in a dark room!!

I bought one and was so pleased that I ordered 2 more as gifts. Things to note - look for a YouTube video someone made to see how to put it together. The printed instructions aren't super helpful. Also all 3 of the spheres I received had a problem of accidentally shutting off when being handled, even gently. I found that the batteries slide a bit out of place VERY easily within the little plastic box they go into. To fix this, I just cut up a few pieces of the ornaments's cardboard packaging and laid them over the batteries in the little battery pack. Then I had to force it to close, which puts a tiny bit of pressure on the batteries and keeps them from shifting out of place. I'm not sure how sturdy this ornament will be, especially out doors … time will tell..!
