I bought this product to keep squirrels away from my bird feeders and hummingbird feeders. The little critter runs along top of my fence to get to the feeders and he's breaking the flowers off the hummer feeders. I have to admit that at first I was tempted to return the item. I thought the 'spikes' might be too long and/or to flimsy. I'm sure glad I change my mind. After researching several other options I decided to keep these and give it a try. I love that the 'spikes' are placed both vertically and horizontally. It's true there are no instructions, but it's pretty much dummy proof to assemble. Most of the other options had very sharp knives at on each side of the strip with a clear channel down the middle. (I'm on blood thinner and the warnings scared me.) I did have to try and try again to get just the right placement and how many strips to put together to outsmart my squirrels. I highly recommend the product and I'm going to buy another set to try to keep the birds from building nests on top of the barn door at my shed. I have high hopes that it will work there too.!!

Perfect for my application. Protecting a birdfeeder bowl and hanging at the top of the tall pole. Very effective deterrent. Very quick and easy to assemble and install. Very strong and solid metal. Very flexible and adaptable to bend around corners and easy to mount with screws . Been outside by the ocean what about pants for many months and not corroding yet either. Well worth the $20.
