Now I can access my shoes easily with this organizer. I first tried to hang it on my closet door which was 24" wide but the door wasn't wide enough. That's alright cause my bedroom door is wider at 32" and it fits on it quite well on it. I had shoes in the bottom of the closets and under beds which took up time trying to remember where I put them. Now they are easily accessible. I wished I had bought this shoe organizer sooner. So far this organizer seems sturdy enough to carry all my athletic shoes along with wedges and heels. As far as the uneven number of pockets, I had some sandals that are thin and they fit perfectly there.

It's perfect for sorting %26 keeping track of my collection of slippers %26 moccasins. Why so many? Because I'm elderly %26 house bound %26 wear them out quickly . I really like the look of organization %26 neatness, but mostly I like to be able to find both items of a pair right there. I used to lose at least one of each pair on a regular basis due to a busy cat who loves to carry them around %26 hide them for later enjoyment. Rascal!
