Terrible taste, bad texture
These did not taste like lemon at all. They also had a weird texture, nothing like a lemon bar or lemon curd for that matter. Also had a weird really bad aftertaste. Would just as soon make a quick and easy shortbread crust from scratch and get a can of lemon curd and call it a day.

i thought my lemon bars were good but--

these were very tasty indeed. i bought 2 mixes-- i made the first 1 completely wrong!-- put the water and 3 eggs in the cake mixture before realizing my mistake-- i baked anyway and got this egg rich base and then added the 3 egg-water lemon whip topping and baked as directed---omg it was a moist delicious gooey - chewy delight. the second mix i did the right way and they were bardelicious too! i am here to order more! enjoy!!

1. If he loves lemon he will love these It is so simple to make, he will think you worked all day on them, lol You can't go wrong on these, I don't think. My mom loves lemon and she can't leave them alone
by hummingbirdsong3
2. No it doesn't come with frosting, I wouldn't use anything but a fine dusting of powdered sugar. These are very rich and delicious and great just by themselves
by hummingbirdsong3
3. They are like a lemon meringue pie without the meringue. I wouldn't frost them, but you might want to put meringue on them it you want.
by Nrselady40
4. I sprinkle powered sugar on top of mine, not a lot just a tiny coat on the top. It's really delicious.

1. Yes, that's what we did.

2. I don't see why you couldn't double the recipe.I do it all the time so I can make mine in a 9 x 13 pan.The only thing is you may not need to double the liquids.I usually use like half of the liquids on my second mix until I see if I need it all.I do this so I can make sure not to overfill my pan.Enjoy!
by Lilah
3. No, it does not come with frosting and none is needed. I sprinkled confectioners sugar on mine when they had cooked.

1. All depends on what size pan you use. I would say an average would be 12
