The HB79 Infrared (line of sight) Stereophone system consists of a single channel wireless stereophone and a compact infrared transmitter. Incorporating infrared technology, the HB79 is ideal for home audio, video and computer use. The transmitter connects to most home systems through a 3.5mm headphone jack or audio output. Utilizing infrared (IR) technology, it transmits an invisible, infrared signal to the headphone which then reproduces the audio signal.

not worth the money
headphones only had a 20 ft distance, no adapters for hookup to stereo, etc. I took these back and bought a set of Sentry wireless headphones in-store for about $25 - much better range, I can even go out to the garage, and still get a strong signal. Includes adapters for stereo, pc, etc. Battery life has been good so far.

Waste of money!
Not only are these headphones awkward and really heavy, but they broke after less than six months of occasional use.It is also nearly impossible to change the battery for these. They are not worth the money!
