Yeah, I'm going to recommend this to others!

I am not the most technologically inclined guy. I don't need the biggest and the best and newest, but then the Epson LS300 projector entered my life. It was intimidating at first. The box was large, and the projector much larger than a game console. I thought I'd need a massive wall just to watch anything with it despite being assured it had a “short throw.” Man, if this isn't the best video system I've ever used! I've always been hesitant to try new or advanced technology, but this wasn't intimidating at all. Setup was simple. From hooking up cables to finding just the right angle and focus, it took roughly five minutes. Everything worked smoothly and the short throw (which works great just a foot from the wall) means I have the perfect, high-definition screen without glare or other complications from my old 3D-ready 55 inch flatscreen. The sound throw for the built-in Yamaha speakers is great. The Sony PlayStation always had sound issues on other screens, but the Epson's speakers more than make up for any weird variations in level. Did I mention the lack of glare? It doesn't matter where in the room you are seated, there is no weird light spill or distortion to contend with. I give talks at conventions regularly, and have worked with other projectors in a professional setting, and unlike so many that need a dark room or large screen to function properly, this model worked great on my bare wall. Full daylight or dark room the picture is perfectly clear. Yeah, I'm going to recommend this to others! This is a review for the Epson EpiqVision Ultra LS300 Smart Streaming Laser projector that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

A-MAZ-ING

Bought this for movies and live sports and the picture and sounds are both simply amazing. What a great feature to not have to mount a unit overhead and worry about shadows and other bothers while watching a movie or sporting event. College football players look truly larger than life with the 120" screen. It's everything I wanted in a projector and more.

Unbelievable!

I was so glad that I was asked to be a beta tester for the LS300W projector. I had no idea about projectors, other than they show a picture on a wall and are cumbersome. Anything but!!! I grabbed my husband Ben to open the box. We took it out of the box, so surprised that the projector was compact and cool. Now the excitement really began to grow. We took out the instructions and had fun sorting through all the different languages on the pamphlets. We found a place to try it out, plugged it in....and like magic we had music and a picture. Where was that picture you ask? Well, it was on the ceiling. We checked the pamphlet for guidance and couldn't figure out what we did wrong. We went with it and completed more steps. When we got to the applications, we found YouTube and played a video. The picture was still on the ceiling. Mind you, we have now moved it 4 times before we tried it outside. Anyway...we played the video, heard the music AND the Epson default. We called it a night and contacted Epson after the weekend. Day 2 I called Epson and spoke with Victor, who was so kind to inform us that we needed to put the projector about a foot and a half from the wall/screen. Then I asked “which way to face the speaker” and he clarified that the speaker faces the “audience”. We finally got it - the FANTASTIC-BRIGHT-COLORFUL-HUGE picture on the wall and NOT on the ceiling! So cool! Thank you Victor. We thought we were all set up and ready to go, until we realized that we still had the dual sound. We called back and got Christopher. He was wonderful. He explained that we had not completed the setup. By the third step he had helped my daughter and I through the process and what we had missed. Finally, we were able to enjoy a video with amazing sound quality and an awesome easy-to-use remote that even my parents can use. Our overall assessment of the LS300W is 10 out 10! However, Epson setup instructions are 7.5 out of 10. Reasons are where the projector is placed and the troubleshooting guide didn't answer our question for sound and picture. Both picture and sound, after finishing the setup are both 10 out of 10. The best part of the process was the Epson customer service, including Donald, our brand rep. We are looking forward to football season, GO CHIEFS and our first outdoor movie with friends and family. “This is a review for the Epson EpiqVision Ultra LS300 Smart Streaming Laser projector that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.”
