Great Orange Flavor

This extract has a great orange flavor and scent. I use it in cookies, muffins, French toast, baked goods such as cakes, cupcakes or pastries, specialty breads, marinades, just about anything I want an orange flavor and scent added to the recipe. McCormick's extracts have been around a long time and I prefer them over many brands including Watkins. The only runner up for me is Neilson-Massey and they are pricey compared to McCormick's. Not that spices and extracts of quality are cheap, but McCormick's is not excessive. I used this in my orange flavored breakfast rolls all the time. See the picture. I took this before the family devoured my baking. I would recommend McCormick's spices and extracts to everyone, first time bakers to professionals. They are my go-to brand and have been for over 50 years of baking and cooking.

Delicious Orange Flavor!

I have been wanting to try McCormicks orange extract for awhile but always forgot to buy it. I was so happy to finally be able to experiment with the flavoring and see how I liked it. It is AMAZING!!! If you like orange creamsicle ice cream you will love this because it tastes exactly like that. I found a quick, easy recipe for mousse several years ago and that's where I wanted to try this first. You take 1 - 8oz. bar of cream cheese and let it soften. With your strongest mixer, whip it with 1/2 cup of milk until smooth. Add 1 - 4 serving box of instant pudding (I used vanilla for this one) and 2 more cups of milk and then whip until smooth and the pudding has dissolved. Spoon into 4 ramekins or smaller bowls and refrigerate for an hour or longer. I usually make this with chocolate pudding but this orange mousse is definitely my favorite now. So creamy and it reminds me of eating a creamsicle ice cream bar as a kid. I can't wait to try this flavoring in a vanilla cake mix and use it to make orange frosting. It's perfect for treats at Halloween or Thanksgiving, too. I highly recommend trying McCormick's pure orange extract if you are tired of the usual flavorings and looking for something to WOW your family and friends. It's a winner!

Delicious Orange Cupcakes

This tasty orange frosting is delicious on vanilla and chocolate cupcakes, or try it on a spiced cupcake or cake. This recipe makes about 2 1/2 cups of frosting, enough for a 2 layer cake or about 24 cupcakes. • 1/2 cup (4 ounces) unsalted butter, room temperature • 3 to 3 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract • 1 1/2 teaspoons orange extract • 1 heaping tablespoon finely grated orange zest • 3 to 4 tablespoons fresh orange juice • a few drops orange food coloring, if desired I love this product and I use it for anything that I want that orange flavor.
