Got this to replace the Oxo Sink Strainer I had which has too much plastic/rubber which can get moldy. Though not quite as easy to remove stuff caught in the basket the fact it doesn't get moldy due to it being primarily stainless steel makes it much more convenient than my previous sink strainer…

I had already purchased one and decided to purchase another one for the side with the garbage disposal. Need room sometimes for cleaning and rinsing using that side of the sink. This is NOT a sink stopper but an aid to catch debris when handwashing pans or other things too big for the dishwasher. The strainer drains the water well and catches debris to avoid clogging the pipes.
