I have never had any issues with Motorola modems. I started to purchase my own modems in 2009 instead of paying a fee for the internet companies modem. Every modem that was provided to me ended up having issue after issue. These Motorola modems have had 0 issues. It is quite quick and easy to install the modem, configure it with your own password and username. After that, you call your internet provider and have them verify the modem and you are up and running.

My old router required replacement, so I began researching routers that are compatible with Comcast/Xfinity. My old router was a Motorola and it functioned fine since 2012, so I was comfortable with that brand name. After comparing other Comcast/Xfinity approved routers online, I chose the Motorola MG8702. I placed the order, and it arrived in 2 days. It's been 6 weeks since I activated it and so far, there are no problems. Our devices connect anywhere in the house, a detached garage and in the yard. Set up was very easy. I plugged the router into the wall outlet and while it was setting itself up; I accessed the Comcast/Xfinity activation link on my cell phone. I entered the SSID number, password and it was connected within minutes. It's only been 6 weeks since it was activated, but so far, I would recommend this product.
