When installing short depth racks (<30") in IDF closets or smaller data centers, don't forget that most 2U UPSes of 1500VA or more capacity are often 27" or more, which, with typical output plugs means you're almost out of clearance! These short depth (~ 19") series UPSes are just the thing, as they save about 8" of depth. Just make sure you have enough rack space for their increased height...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have deployed 12 of these units throughout a local municipality's newest building structure. We had little to no room in the IDF closets that housed networking infrastructure and was forced to use a smaller, wall-mounted rack, and these fit PERFECTLY in them. Uptimes temperatures and moisture sensors are all managed through PowerChute Network Shutdown Tool (.OVA) hosted at our datacenters. Batteries are VERY easy to replace - APC/SE made it very easy to deploy and replace! These are PERFECT for small/tight spaces. Be forewarned, lift these with a team member and follow OSHA guidelines when lifting heavy objects like this unit!
