Western Digital My Book 3 Terabyte External Hard Drive

I haven't explored the backup software yet, but the hard drive with usb3 copied my three HDs full of music and pics. I started backing up around 9 pm thinking it would take most of the night, but in less than two hours over one tb was copied. I think this is an excellent vaule for my needs.

I have had the 1TB My Book, the 2TB and now this 3TB. All have worked flawlessly. I have had this 3TB for about 6 months and it works great. I recommended it to a friend and looked up a link for her and noticed the reviews, including some negative ones. The one currently on top of the pile just didn't seem like it could be possibly true and so this is why I am adding my review. A lot of people don't know how to use computers well and that is the problem and not the fault of these drives. For example, the guy that can't play his movies? That is probably a setting or driver and the files that are saved are most likely perfectly fine. I do extensive graphics work and I save many thousands of image files so I researched before buying an external drive. I found out that Western Digital makes most of the hard drives in all kinds of computers made by a variety of manufacturers so this is why I went with the WD brand. I am confident in the Western Digital external drives and recommend them.
