Exactly What I Wanted

I was looking for a device to add more Ethernet ports to my router and found this device at less than $20. It is much cheaper than similar devices I found. All I had to do was connect this device to my router and connect my devices to the TP-Link device. The devices immediately had access to the Internet. No configuration or setup required.

Inexpensive way to speed up your network

Almost every motherboard out there comes with a gigabit Ethernet port (or two). If you will be sharing files or doing backups over your network, a switch like this one is definitely the way to go. You probably won't reach all the way up to gigabit speed, but you will definitely see an improvement over a 100Mbps switch. If you have gaming consoles or music streaming devices on your network, you can bridge this one with a cheap 100Mbps one for those slower devices and keep these ports open for your computers that can use the bandwidth.

It Does Not Get Any Simpler

This is a basic unmanaged network switch. It is very simple to setup and use; only plug-and-play. I was able to expand my home network by five ports and absolutely no complains. Its does exactly what it was designed to do and it does it well. For the price, it doesn't get any simpler than this switch to expand a small/home network with an existing router.
