Kinsa Quick Care Bluetooth Smart Oral Thermometer for Fever

Out of the box, the Kinsa QuickCare Smart Thermometer looks like a standard thermometer; there's not much special about it. The incredible part of the Kinsa QuickCare Smart Thermometer is the app. Upon unpacking, I turned on the thermometer. It guided me to download the app first. After the download, I stuck the thermometer in my mouth. While it was taking my temperature, it was hard to see the screen to see the numbers go up, but after just 8 short seconds, the thermometer beeped and my temperature was displayed. I then looked at the app, and my temperature was recorded. The app asked me to answer a few questions, like if I had a sore throat, headache, etc., but I was not required to answer them. I compared my temperature reading with two other oral thermometers I had and they were all spot-on. The accuracy of this thermometer seems to be fantastic. Taking my daughter's temperature under her armpit was a breeze. She's normally very active and doesn't like to be pinned down, but the display on the app kept her distracted enough to not notice she had a thermometer in her armpit. Don't forget to change the setting in the app to show you're using armpit, rectal, or oral temperature taking! After using this thermometer on myself for a few days, I noticed I have a timeline of temperature readings, which I thought was really cool. It will be especially useful when feeling sick and wanting to keep track of when a fever breaks. I was incredibly pleased to find that I could save data for each family member so it's easy to keep track of everyone's health individually. Each temperature reading is saved to each member of the family, so their timeline is accurate to themselves. My favorite part of the Kinsa QuickCare Smart Thermometer is that the app displayed information about my county regarding illness levels; this was something I didn't know I needed. I open the app daily and look at the "Health Weather." Since I've had the thermometer, I noticed that Covid-19 cases went from low cases and stable to moderate cases and spreading. There's a legend that explains that it gets its information from Johns Hopkins University and what each level actually means. I also liked the ability to set reminders. My 1 year old daughter needs to take an iron supplement, and I was able to set a reminder in the Kinsa app for her to take it every day! There are other reminders that you can set for any time range 1-24 hours. It will be incredibly useful when needing to take a temperature regularly if someone becomes sick. I've incredibly pleased with the Kinsa QuickCare Smart Thermometer. I know that this cold and flu season I'll be better prepared and have more knowledge than I did before. Just download the app and follow the instructions and you're on your way. I tested it out on myself first. I liked how it was soft and flexible yet still took a quick and accurate temperature. I saved it and the app keeps a timeline of what you've done in it. Perfect for those days of watching fevers. I then tried it on my husband and our two kids. We all know how toddlers can be when it comes to taking temperatures. She didn't fight me at all then wanted to try it on me. Even she was able to take an accurate temperature. I'm honestly impressed with the Kinsa thermometer and the corresponding app. I haven't found any cons. This little thermometer couldn't have come at a better time with all the sickness out there. It's has found a place in our sick day arsenal.
