Kinder Happy Hippo, Crispy Wafers with Cocoa Cream Filling, Great for Easter Egg Hunts, 5 Count, 3.6 oz

These little hippos have no right being this delicious. Unfortunately I cannot order any more as I eat them all the minute they show up. Light and crispy with a creamy filling.

Happy Hippos are such a great, not to mention cute, treat. They're far better than the Kinder bars or eggs in the candy sections, in my opinion. If you like Nutella and a not too sweet, crisp wafer you'll want these at your store year round too. *Why only the holidays Walmart?* How to describe? Do I want everyone trying something I already have trouble getting? I kid! I'm not that selfish. Imagine a Kit Kat (sort of) with less dense/airier wafers, and higher quality chocolate perhaps? And not completely coated in chocolate. (Sorry, there's not much else I can think of to compare them to.) Oh! The outside makes some think of a thinned out fortune cookie. I feel like I should say that if you are craving hardcore chocolate and/or gooey, these aren't it. They're not crazy, over the top sweet. Think really great British “biscuit.” They're packaged individually inside the box so no worries there. And they are actually shaped like hippos (if you know the game Hungry Hungry Hippos, you'll get a kick out of these for the references and wordplay if nothing else!) with some decorative and tasty accents on the outside. I feel safe saying that no one will be disappointed with these and if they are? I'm always in the market for some hippos. (Under five dollars for the box- so you don't get sucked in by the third party sellers listing them for $30 .) Hit up Jungle Jim's or Amazon. Pretty sure I've covered it all, some of it more than once even. Discovered them on a trip abroad years ago, and was so excited to see them at the store here. Alas, they're so rarely in stock. Really hoping that will change!
