It works when it counts!
We've had this alarm for 4 years now. It's functioned well and is easy to use. Another nice feature is that the batteries are AA and can be changed in the front. We got our money's worth and our lives saved last night we the alarm went off. After realizing it wasn't a false alarm, we were able to locate the cause (our furnace was not venting properly) and keep our family safe. If you're on the fence about buying one - do so!

Does the Job and a bit more
By law and by common sense, we need to have a CO detector in the home (actually one on each floor by the book). I like that this one has a numeric display and levels of warning. This is our second of this brand and style - they are programmed to give an error code after seven years of operation. There is no repair. I suppose it is because the sensor looses its effectiveness, but be aware that this unit (any unit, actually, if you read the instructions carefully) will only give you seven years of service.
