Get You One!

I love it!! It's so convient to have after shooting an event! I love that it has it's own wifi and app where you can watch the process of your download. I was keeping watch on the time so it did back up a full 64 GB in 45 minutes, and a quarter 128 GB in a little under 30. Another full 128 Extreme Pro in 45min! To me that's quick in 2hrs, during that process the other shooter and I took that time to do some debriefing regarding the wedding! The other shooter wants to look into one while I'm probably going to go for a Rugged Lacie Mini seeing as I shoot more creative portraits. But this will definitely come in handy for any events in the case of one or more shooters! That way you'll always have a copy of what you shot and you don't have to worry about loosing anything after the day is done.

A good device which requires careful monitoring

The settings will change all on their own and if you're not WiFied up to a device with a screen you may think you're copying images from your AD card when you really are not.

I Want to Love This

As the title says I want to love this. The fact that one product could have such a positive impact on my workflow is incredible. I bought it for the SD card reader letting me import pictures on the way back from a shoot and not leave the cards in the card reader at home. The wireless connection is just a bonus but I very nice one. However there are two issues that prevent me from giving this a perfect score. I have never been able to get the one button import to work. This along with a very un-intuitive interface makes it easiest to just manage the drive through the app. One more dedicated button instead of the press and hold for x seconds would make using the drive possible without referencing the manual. The other big issue I had was the connector. The Micro b connection mean one more cable to buy carry and keep track of. A usb c connection would allow for things like a direct connection to my iPad for editing and a unified charger. These flaws detract so much form the user experience and functionality that I would be willing to buy a new version of this drive that fixed them. In summary I would recommend this for photographers that use SD cards but not for anyone else.
