Great solution, Tripp-lite just needs to execute better
This item was almost perfect, then it wasn't. First, it came damaged. Front panel screw sheared right off, the packing was quite poor. The unit came assembled, with a piece of cardboard wrapped around it. Wasn't the end of the world though and didn't prevent installation. Second, and the biggest issue. The description of 12U equipment, up to 35" deep. I feel is misleading. Most other racks list, mounting depths. This did not, and I didn't take that into account. One of the servers we installed is 30.8" deep. It didn't fit. If you look at the submittal drawings, this is shown. From the mount point to the bottom is 29.8". Check and measure your equipment physically before ordering. Our server rails mounted with a setback from the mounting flange further increasing overall length. Lastly the build quality was just satisfactory, the lock is cheap, the lid should have a screws for better strength and guides when sliding it on. This unit fulfilled the requirement, and there seem to be few alternatives out there. Typically I am quite happen with Tripp-Lite's rack options. This, I am merely satisfied.
