Worked great for repairing retaining wall.

Repairing cracks on the top surface of a treated 6"x6" of a retaining wall. After ~35 years, starting to look a little ragged. The filler worked great, great adhesion, easy to apply. Dries REALLY hard, but have had success sanding it with 60 grit with cordless sander. Too bad it's so bright white, but will paint (high quality latex) to match the rest of the stained wall. Would buy and use again, for sure! It would be neat if they could figure out a way to let users blend in colors to make it less bright white. Or sell different colors of it...

My go-to for everything exterior/interior 8+years

I do construction remodel/maintenance for a living. This is my first go-to produce for any type of filling or repairs. I've used it for approx 10 years on cement, exterior rotted beams, steel doors, trim, pvc, vinyl, exterior corner beams that had substantial dry rot, stucco, cement statues with broken sections, etc. It can be filled in, formed to shape (corner beams, missing cement statue sections, rounded, etc). Most importantly, it dries rock/steel hard, paint the finished area, and last for years in extreme temperatures. Trick to make it smooth as silk: Putty in, smooth texture, wait until 5-10 min while still damp, take a damp soft cloth and gently wipe across. You can do this again to create smooth as silk finish. Let cure and paint to protect. Storing product: the tub is the way to go. Put lid on, flip container UPSIDE down, tap on hard surface like cement to force martial to sit on lid and fully seal lid. Store upside down so no air sits on the product. I've stored and used product well over a year old without any issues. Proper storage is the key. Also, make sure spatula is clean before using product. A dirty spatula creates a bacteria growing environment and cause mold to grow in the tub.

Love how easy it made the job

I'm thrilled at how easy this made the job and how good the results look. This works better than regular wood filler to repair fence aging. Great consistency for filling the spacees. Clings well to wood, and doesn't instead cling to your spatula/fingers. On larger holes, stays as a hunk that you've put in. I was able to shape the bottom of raggedy boards, so they look newer, and paint would stick. Key is to use a little water to smooth it over. Makes sanding go quickly. I didn't find it hard to sand using 60 grade. Dries quickly. Easy to paint over and looks invisible. I noticed drying in the can, so I switched to putting a bunch in plastic wrap to use rather than leaving the container open. I think it dries white. When I called dap, they said this doesn't need primer. The wood filler needs primer to avoid moisture seeping in overtime. I found it looked best if you don't glop it on, but really use some water and some sanding to make it blend in with the wood. Then when you paint on it, you wouldn't notice. Whereas if you glop it on gets that look like you repaired and painted. Found it at Lowe's.
