The ceiling fan in our bedroom was outdated and required four regular bulbs in the light fixture. Two of the bulb holders were broken and couldn't be replaced leaving us with a dimly lighted bedroom. I also didn't like the look of the wood tone in there. I thought white would look more modern and clean. It took a couple of hours to install this because of all the wire connections and pieces to apart and put together. You will need a few different tools and a ladder to complete the installation. These items are noted in the instruction manual. The instructions were clear to follow in written and visual forms. My husband struggled to get the receiver inside the outlet box. Just be aware it's a tight fit. The wire in the photo needs to be out on screw you out into wood is what I believe my husband said so he still needs to tuck that in. It works great. Fan puts out a nice circulation of air. The best part is the brightness of the led light. It was such a shock at first to see how bright the room was. We haven't installed the remote yet so we are using the light switch still. The remote is really cool though and works without installing into the wall. It's nice not having a pull chain. I usually can't reach those because I'm so short. If weren't renting then I'd definitely replace all the fans in the house with this one. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
