Jurassic World Paper Red and Yellow Dinosaur Eggs Birthday Party Favors, 4 Pieces

i ordered these to be delivered with my groceries, and 1 of the 4 eggs arrived already cracked. wasnt too much of a problem since its for our 1.5 year old, so we just immediately put it in water. after reading the instructions however, im a bit confused how long i should keep it in the water. it suggests that your dino egg will begin to crack/hatch within 2-3 days, but continues to say "dino will continue to grow out of its shell." after reading that im unsure how long i should leave this already cracked dino egg in water. there's a reference picture for the size after the dino hatches, but it feels like a long process for something as little as in the picture so idk. its not awful, just not what i expected.

They look good from the outside but if you hand out as favors you'd have to make sure they don't break in route. After watching reviews online they said the dinosaurs inside are soft, squishy. I thought they would be more durable.
