Southern Living Jubilation Gardenia Live Shrub in 2.5-Quart Grower Pot

These jubilation gardenias were well packaged and super healthy upon opening. I bought two. I soaked them in a 5 gallon bucket of water for half an hour after opening bc the soil was very dry. I planted them about a week after I received them and they were still very healthy with daily watering. So don't feel like you have to rush to get them in the ground. Although I'm sure the sooner the better! I planted as per instructions on the package, supplementing in ground garden soil for the native clay soil when back filling. But first watered them deeply in a bucket again. I sprinkled Espoma plant tone around the drip line immediately after planting. Watered at least every other day. They are thriving. So thrilled with them. They began flowering this week and even though they are still small bushes they smell incredible!! They are shapely in the form of a cute, round ball. They came like that. I didn't trim them at all. Wanna add they were larger and healthier than I expected for the price of $13 a piece! Wish I had ordered more.
