Well-made, Solid and Cooks Very Effectively
The quality and workmanship in this steamer is excellent. I had one that I think was made by the same company for 35 years, before one of the sections finally wore out. This new one fits snugly on a 10-inch diameter, 6-quart pot and has performed flawlessly for me several times. It holds in the steam very well and builds good temperature inside, the steam penetrating every place. I've mainly cooked large chicken breasts so far and they come out very well-done all the way through. It's a real bargain at this price.

Good large-size bamboo steamer
Purchased this particular bamboo steamer, as it was one of the few brands on Walmart that didn't seem sketchy/completely made-up. We've used this to steam dumplings, and it's been great for that so far. It's large, so make sure you have a large enough wok/pot for it to fit it. Because it's large and has multiple tiers, you can steam a lot of food at once.
