The best way to get away from seed oils!
What was good enough generations ago is good enough for me. I don't do a lot of frying. but I do use it in place of oil in baking and It makes a wonderful difference in texture of cakes and cookies and such. I love homemade biscuits and this makes them even more wonderful. I had to get away from shortening due to inflammation in my body. No seed oils ever again

More and more information is coming out that seed oils are not as healthy as advertised, so I'm using lard, or butter, for cooking. I know it sounds backwards, but I'm old and fat, but don't have high blood pressure, diabetes, or poor circulation. And I laugh every time I go to the doctor and he can't figure out why.

Lard is good for you.
I use this to cook with. Lard is ten times more healthy than other cooking oil. Also food in Lard make you feel full faster and you stay satisfied. Funny isn't it I am old enough to remember how thin everybody used to be. But then everything was fried in lard. When everybody switched to vegetable oil. People started to gain weight. Something to think think about.
