My Eulogy to Blackberry and Bay
Regardless of all the countless reviews praising the other Jo Malone fragrances, Blackberry and Bay is undoubtedly the winner of the whole line. Although ALL of Jo Malone's fragrances are beautiful and unique in their own way (and I've tried them all) as they have the extraordinary ability to conjure up nostalgic memories and emotions of all sorts within us, Blackberry and Bay is in its own league... might I say dimension...Why? Because having been obsessed with the art of perfumery and oils for more than half my life I can honestly write that there is nothing on the market that even resembles it or reminds me of it. Yes of course there are many other absolutely divine fragrances out there in the world waiting to be sniffed and B & B just happens to be one of them... Not to mention that I am endlessly and forever complimented when I wear it. Jo Malone: You must have gotten many sales because of me....Its notes describe everything a woman should be: fruity, sweet, spicy, musky and sylvan with an everlasting captivating aroma as it has wonderful sillage. If I had to choose two competitors to it from the Jo Malone line they would have to be the recent limited edition Almond and Redcurrant cologne in addition to Velvet Rose and Oud... Everyone, including men should own at least the smaller size bottle of B&B, but then I guess that would take away its well deserved exclusivity wouldn't it?...oh well... :)
