So I wanted a portable radio that I could plug in and use when the power goes out so it had to be battery operated too! This radio clicked all the boxes. I love the retro look, the fact that it gets good reception and sounds pretty good also. I've decided to get one for all five of our grown kids for Christmas. Not one of them have a radio they can use if God forbid the power goes down and they need information about what's going on. I'd highly recommend this t everyone.
