We bought this for adding circulation in a 15,000 Gal. Koi pond w/5 waterfalls (%26 pumps to run them)so it will only lay on the bottom %26 keep any dirt moving pushing it to the floor drain, the fish will love swimming against it's current %26 the pond should remain crystal~clear
