[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Kwikset SmartKey Security outside door with Microban cleaner technology, offers a decent entry level solution for most residential home owners at a low price point. It has a Grade 3 security level, which is at the bottom of the list but is standard requirements for residential homes and most are this level. It will perform better than many in this class. This set comes in a variety of standard colors to suit your needs. The SmartKey system is a fantastic user option for those looking to Key match their current setup or a totally new setup. This helps reduce the need to find key matched sets which can sometimes be an issue if replacing an whole house. It comes with standard hardware for mounting. I personally opt to not use the door jam side screws and will upgrade my systems with 3” screws. Most door sets come with 1/2” or 3/4” screws for this. Using 3” screws on your door jam for the locks and also the hinges will substantially increase its durability and make it extremely difficult for the average home break in to succeed through a door by prying or kicking. Kwickset operates smoothly, as have any I have used with this brand in the past. This set will suit the majority home owners who want and like the use of a traditional style set. The only knock i can give it in my experience is the short screws for the jam side.

It is ready to go and comes keyed so you can use it right away without having to get it keyed professionally. I really like that you can also rekey it yourself if you want to get a new key for security. The added microban on the doorknob keeping it clean of germs is a great feature I plan to buy more of these for my other entries.
