Fantastic sharpener Poor directions
I use both sides of the slots as a guide drawing the knife towards me (not back and forth). This is contrary to the written directions. I got the idea watching people using it on youtube who were praising the sharpener. Before I started doing that I could not sharpen a knife with it. I was extremely frustrated. The written directions specifically said don't touch the sides of the slot and hold the knife vertical. Now I get a blade that is unbelievably super sharp. The only problem I have with the sharpener is the directions.

After reading a review I decided to try Chef's Choice ProntoPro Diamond hone knife Sharpener. Heaven, I'm in heaven! My knives are sharp and it is easier to keep them that way. I know it is counter intuitive, but sharpers knives are safer too. I'm very happy I made this purchase.
