Instructions
Step-by-Step Directions: Boil the Water: Heat water to approximately 185°F (just below boiling). Do not let the water reach a rolling boil. Prepare the Mouthguard: Place your J.Health Mouthguard on a clean fork or tongs to prevent direct handling and prepare to immerse it in the hot water. Soften the Mouthguard: Submerge the mouthguard in the hot water for 10–15 seconds. The material will soften, becoming pliable for molding. Avoid leaving it in longer to prevent over-softening. Cool Slightly (Optional): Remove the mouthguard carefully and allow it to cool for 1–2 seconds if it's too hot to place in your mouth directly. Fit the Mouthguard: Place the softened mouthguard into your mouth, positioning it over your upper teeth. Use your fingers to press the material around your teeth for a snug fit. Bite down gently to shape the guard to your lower teeth while sucking in air to create a tight seal around your teeth and gums. Set the Shape: Once molded, leave the mouthguard in place for about 30 seconds to let it harden slightly while maintaining its shape. Cool Completely: Remove the mouthguard and place it under cold water or in an ice bath for 1–2 minutes to fully set the shape. Test the Fit: Place the cooled mouthguard back into your mouth to ensure it fits snugly and comfortably. If adjustments are needed, repeat the process. there are 4 varying sizes of mouthgards in this kit. one very large, one medium and 2 small. find the size you think will fit, then use hot water, not boiling to make it pliable. wait a couple seconds, place in your mouth, bite down, and smooth the outer part over your teeth. I like that there's at least one extra if you mess up badly. a great deal for the money!
