Carb works good, manual choke is an afterthought

I bought this as a replacement for an older Chevrolet pickup, I liked it for it's sleek features and stock looks. I was discouraged when I first received this carburetor because upon inspection when moving the throttle from closed to open it was not smooth and would hang up at a certain point. I found that it was a bad design on the position of an adjustment screw for the manual choke, and was causing interference with the throttle linkage. If you plan to use the manual choke you will have to replace the screw with one shorter or slightly modify the current screw or arms so there is no interference. I don't know why this was not inspected and caught during manufacture? When I bought this I had planned to remove the choke anyways, so it was no problem for my application. If you are like me and are going to remove the choke or want to run it wide open without connecting the choke, I would recommend to buy the electric choke model as it seems to have fewer linkage arms and brackets to interfere with. Overall it had very little tuning that had to be done out of the box, and fit nicely around all my stock brackets.
