Great Camera Value; Some attachment problems

Great Camera Value; Some attachment problems. Out of box WI-FI worked great with iPad & iPhone apps. Set up on Windows 7 easy, but could use some explanations for what some of the settings mean. Bought to set up Ion AirPro 3 Camera on Hearing Protectors for USPSA & IPSC type competition. Camera base click in arm broke on 1st use, & mounting to hearing protectors took some work & imagination, as well as having to buy new base & more adhesive mounting pads, to get base in correct position to record. Happy with functionality, ease of use, wi-FI, waterproof , & would recommend to those wanting to mount on headset in shoot sports.

Ion air pro 3

i bought this camera for it's sleek style and easy mounting and high mega pixel rating.what i got was undependable.the camera would lock during recording and you could not shut it off and reboot it.the battery is built in so you would just have to wait until it went dead.then you could charge it and reboot.i took it back and got another one and it did the same thing only it locked up after the very first video.nothing ruins a vacation than your camera not working.i ended up getting a go pro black and it has worked flawlessly.i think ion could have a good product if maybe a little more r&d before they went to market.

Absolute garbage!

For starters, the "shoe" at the bottom of the camera that slips into the various mounts is loose, and the camera would shake around during use. I needed to add some scotch tape to it in order to tighten it up. As for the sound, for some reason when attached to my motorcycle, there was a constant ticking noise during playback of the video files. Then the real fun began, when about 1 out of 5 videos would end up being recorded with them rotated 90 degrees! Sometimes they would be upside down! This even occurred after I disabled the auto-rotate function in the camera. Then about a couple times a week it would lock up with the power on, and I'd be unable to power it off! Had to press the little reset button on the front to fix it. Then the mount I bought for it proved to be useless. It was one of those ball and socket types, but I could never get it tight enough where the camera wouldn't flop around with any amount of wind hitting it. I got so flustered with this piece of garbage, that I just threw it away! Guess I could have sent it back, as it was only 4 months old, but I was so annoyed with everything about this thing, that I just didn't want another one. And before anyone wants to blame the SD card, it was a class 10 card, and this camera would screw up as I described above with two different cards, from two different manufactures. AND, I have since bought a GoPro 4 Silver that has worked flawlessly with the same SD card, even recording up to 4K videos! So, the SD card was NOT the cause of the headaches. I will NEVER buy another iON product again! Bad enough they don't know how to make a camera, but they can't even make a mount that functions! What do they have there as engineers...a bunch of grade school children?!??
