Hyper Tough 12,000 lb. Electric HD Truck Winch with 82 ft. Synthetic Rope

The Hyper Tough 2,500 lb electric winch is a workhorse and comes with everything needed to complete the task. It has a 1.1 hp permanent magnetic motor for long life, a free spool feature for fast hook up, an automatic load holding brake for maximum safety, a 4 way steel roller fairlead which reduces friction and extends wire rope life, a forged hook, a control box, handlebar mounted rocker switch to operate the winch and wires that are marked with their connection point. It includes mounting bracket and hardware and comes pre-spooled with 50 feet of galvanized aircraft grade wire rope. I mounted the winch in the floor of my garage and use it to pull my motorcycle with sidecar into the garage backwards (no reverse) which makes driving out of the garage easier and safer. The motorcycle is a vn2000 cruiser which is very heavy by itself 732 lbs and the side car weighs another 200 lbs and this winch pulls them in with ease. Thanks Hyper Tough

We got it for my buddy and tested it out on a jeep, should be fine with a truck or any SUV and get it out of a mud. The test was not an actual recover situation, but the performance is good and indicative the winch won't have any issues getting a vehicle out of mud or something. Connects to the battery and ready to operate. We mounted it upfront, but it can be mounted in the back as well for any back towing line use or something (not sure about the details on back mounting, will need to research). The winch is nice and sturdy with a synthetic rope (bonus, takes up less space rolled up for a strong line). The mechanism is strong, responsive, and has quite a bit of torque. It comes with a wireless remote, so you can stand back and control the operation from a (safe) distance. We tested it from as far back as 40 feet and it worked perfectly. The button control and response are quite good, and precise (there may be a seeming slightly delay when buttons are pushed, but that didn't bother us). Mounting will require some work, but once mounted the winch works as intended. The line is of appropriate diameter (did I say it's synthetic?!) where it falls up into a nice fit on the drum. Does not roll up to clog the drum and all (often a problem with other winches, particularly with non synthetic lines). The box and mechanism is well covered with a nice all around plastic cover (no exposed areas except for bits of the roll up drum and rope). So all connections are well protected. Finally, the best part is the price. This one beats any competition on pricing. Extremely affordable for the product and quality. Affordable set for outdoor enthusiasts!
