perfect for miso soup

For a super easy to make miso soup that will rival the soup you get in restaurants, just do the following. boil 8 cups of water. Add 2 teaspoons of instant Dashi granules and one cup of miso paste. I have made the soup with red miso and white miso, and both are delicious. Get a container of firm tofu, chop it into squares, and add it to your soup. Crumble some seaweed sheets into the soup. Then, let everything simmer for about 20 minutes. When it is done, add some chopped green onion. I usually use sheets of Nori seaweed, but this time I just bought the five pack of oceans halo seaweed snacks, and that was the perfect amount for my pot of soup. It makes four good size servings, and it couldn't be easier to make. Walmart sells all of the ingredients you will need to make it.

It's been 50 years since I've eaten Tofu. I decided to try it again. I need to learn how to season it but I did cut it up and add it to chicken soup after heating it through in a skillet. This was much easier to work as opposed to the tofu I remembered from 50 yrs ago. This was firm and held it's shape well. it browned nicely in my non-stick saute pan. It gave my cream of chicken soup a bit more texture without adding a lot more calories.

Great Tofu

I wish Walmart carried more tofu. This is the only brand I can find online in my area, so I always get it. It is fine and will taste however you want it to. The texture is firm, and these keep in the fridge well for a few weeks. Eat your tofu; they are a complete protein and do not contain animal estrogen like the alternative proteins do. Stay healthy and strong like this soy boy here.
