Actually stays hot 18 hours.
I sleep in a tent about one a month, even in the winter (LARP). I've used regular hot hands before and they're ok, but usually don't last super long. These 18 hours ones though, wow. The first night, I opened some up at maybe around 11pm to use in my socks and sleeping bag. They were still hot well into the afternoon of the following day. Not just lukewarm, but hot. I was very impressed. I've already purchased more.
